Storyline
Disenchanted with her marriage, Beatrice Chambers (Pearl Bailey) runs off to Mexico with her husband Ben's brothers. Ben (Redd Foxx), a sullen and sour old soul, seeks comfort from their son Norman in Los Angeles. But his unannounced visit stirs up a lot more than skeletons in the family closet, including the discovery that Norman is gay. When one harebrained scheme after another fails to set his son "straight," Ben finds consolation by spending a night on the with Norman's live-in lover — and actually enjoys it! Beatrice sudden arrival on the scene culminates in hilarious enlightenment for all.
