Christie Love was a gorgeous and quite charming black woman who also happened to be a skilled undercover operative with the Los Angeles Police Department. Her smarts and skills often came in handy when posing as a prostitute, jewel thief, etc. to bring down the bad guys.
Storyline
Top baseball pitcher Bingo Long (Billy Dee Williams) is fed up
with how his Negro League team owner treats him, so he forms his own
lineup, recruiting big-hitting Leon Carter (James Earl Jones) and
Charlie Snow (Richard Pryor), who dreams of playing in the majors.
Boycotted by black teams, Long's outfit play minor
league white teams, earning more attention as entertainers than as
players. However, their success wins them a chance to play again in the
Negro League, this time as equals.
Storyline
A federal agent, Nick Allen (Billy Dee Williams, The Final Comedown and The Bingo Long Traveling All-Stars & Motor Kings) whose daughter dies of a drug overdose is determined to destroy the ring that supplied her. He organizes a small independent task force of mercenaries to travel to France in order to kill the nine leaders of a Marseilles drug syndicate. The motley crew of angry American citizens includes construction worker, Mike Willmer (Richard Pryor, Which Way Is Up? and Greased Lightning); call girls Sherry Nielson (Gwen Wells); rogue cop, Dutch Schiller (Warren J. Kemmerling); college professor Barry Strong (Paul Hampton) and the kindly old Jewish couple, Ida (Janet Brandt) and Herman (Sid Melton), who want to inflict Old Testament revenge upon the syndicate.
