The Brute (1920) [Lost Film]

Storyline
Directed by . The story is of a beautiful and tender girl in the clutches of a shrewd gambler and boss of the underworld where the creed is "to make a woman love you, knock her down." Sam Langford, the boxer, battles against lynching in the South in this Micheaux melodrama which was shut down by Southern police. Evelyn Peer is the beautiful girl who falls into the clutches of the underworld brute.

Mr. Washington Goes To Town (1941) [Lost Film]

Storyline
While reading the newspaper in his jail cell during his stint as a "guest of the county", Wallingford reads a story that his cellmate, Schenectady, has inherited a hotel from an uncle who has recently died. Upon hearing the news, Schenectady falls asleep and dreams of what kind of life he'll lead now that he owns a hotel. It turns out he has a surprise in store.

Jefferson and Washington operate a failing detective agency. Washington dozes and dreams that they are hired by a wealthy heiress to rid her of her diabolical uncle, Professor Wackingham Creeps. The professor develops a chemical to turn men into animals and then the fin begins. Washington awakens to find out it was only a dream.

Marching On! [a.k.a. Where's My Man To-Nite?"] (1943)

Young Rodney Tucker Jr. is leading an aimless life. His out-spoken grandfather Samuel Tucker, a decorated army veteran, thinks the military would do the boy good, but Rodney wants nothing to do with wearing a uniform. Uncle Sam has his own ideas, and a surprising piece of mail arrives, "inviting" Rodney to visit his local draft board. Boot camp rubs Rodney the wrong way and he soon goes AWOL. But if Grandpa Tucker has anything to say about it, Rodney will make something out of himself yet.
